Faults investigated

Problems our technicians diagnose

  • Water runs down the wall below a split unit
  • Cassette leaks through a ceiling tile
  • Drain pump makes noise but does not remove water
  • Leak starts after the aircon runs for an hour
  • Pipe sweats and drips because insulation is damaged
  • Unit freezes and then releases a large amount of water

Diagnosis before replacement

How the service is handled

The technician identifies where the water originates, checks the condensate pan and drain, confirms pump operation where fitted, and investigates coil freezing. The system is water-tested after the repair where practical.

  • Clear fault assessment
  • Written quotation before major work
  • Testing after repair or service
  • Maintenance recommendations where relevant

Customer questions

Frequently asked questions

Can a dirty filter make an aircon leak?

Yes. Restricted airflow can cause the coil to become too cold and freeze. Water may overflow when the ice melts.

Why does a cassette leak through the ceiling?

Blocked drains, failed pumps, float-switch faults, dirty pans, frozen coils or incorrect drainage can cause cassette leaks.

Can I unblock the drain myself?

Basic filter cleaning is safe for many users, but pushing objects or compressed air into a drain can damage joints or force water into the ceiling. Professional service is safer when the route is hidden.

Will the leak stop after regassing?

Only if low refrigerant caused coil freezing, and the leak in the refrigerant circuit is repaired. Most water leaks are drainage or airflow related.

Do you repair damaged drain pipes?

Yes. Accessible pipework can be repaired or rerouted; concealed ceiling work is quoted according to access.
